MOBILE APP PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy notice ("Notice") is intended to explain how your personal information will be handled by MSC app, trading as "myMSC" ("myMSC" "we", "our" and "us") of in Switzerland at 12-14 Chemin Rieu 1208, Geneva and sets out the information including the personal information detailed below relating to you ("Personal Data") that will be collected and processed by myMSC and/or on its behalf by its third party service providers in the context of your engagement with the myMSC app and services (the "myMSC Services").

MSC offers global services with local knowledge across its integrated network of sea, road and rail transportation networks. myMSC is a single beacon to place, manage and track your container shipments with MSC.

MyMSC does not sell your personal data to any third-party companies. From time to time, third party companies/consultants may be hired to help us improve our services, with these companies/consultants being held under strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and requirements in the event that they require access to customer level data. MYMSC PRIVACY NOTICE

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF NOTICE

myMSC provides a wide variety of container shipping services to its clients.

IMPORTANT: Please note that this Notice, while intended to be as complete and accurate as reasonably possible, is not exhaustive and may be updated from time to time in accordance with Section 13 of this Notice.

This Notice applies to the way we collect and process your Personal Data. Personal Data will be collected and processed during the course of our relationship with you and for a period afterward as may be required by applicable law.

During the course of your dealings with us, we will collect Personal Data from you: for example when you communicate with us, register with myMSC, sign-in to the myMSC Services as a user or member, work with us or supply us with services in container shipments, when you supply Personal Data via our app by requesting a booking, request for tariff, program schedules, track the container activity or submitting support request.

3. DATA SAFETY SECTION IN PLAYSTORE

All developers that have an app published on Google Play must complete the Data safety form, including apps on internal, closed, open, or production testing tracks.

Even developers with apps that do not collect any user data are required to complete this form and provide a link to their privacy policy. In this case, the completed form and privacy policy can indicate that no user data is collected or shared.

All developers in PlayStore must how they collect and handle user data for the apps they publish on Google Play, and provide details about how they protect this data through security practices like encryption.

On myMSC Content Page in Play Store, we provide this information on the new Data safety section (Policy > App content). The information you provide will be reviewed by Google as part of the app review process. It will be shown on your store listing to help Google Play users understand how you collect and share data before they download your app.

4. MINORS AND VULNERABLE PERSONS

Persons that don't have a legally age recognized as adults, are not permitted to open a myMSC Account and operate any of the functionalities that the app can provide. We ask that persons under that legal range do not submit any personal information to us or use our services.

A "vulnerable person" means a natural person who:
Has the capacity to make his or her own decisions but who, because of individual circumstances, may require assistance to do so (for example, visually impaired); and/or has limited capacity to make his or her own decisions and who requires assistance to do so (for example, persons with intellectual disabilities or mental health difficulties).

  • VGM Solas (Verified Gross Mass). MSC recommend that shippers keep a record of VGM's for requests by authorities.
  • The date, time, transaction details and location data for geolocation restrictions and preference version.
  • Users' correspondence, communications and connections with our staff.
  • Any information which is provided to us by you or on your behalf.

  • To process and communicate with you if you choose to cancel your myMSC account, and/or request we provide you with a report on the data held about you.
IMPORTANT Before we process your Personal Data to pursue our legitimate interests for the above purposes, we determine if such processing is necessary, and we carefully consider the impact of our processing activities on your fundamental rights and freedoms. On balance, we have determined that such processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and that the processing which we conduct does not adversely impact on these rights and freedoms.

You can uninstall myMSC from your device or you can customize the access permissions that have been granted to the app from the Settings section of your device.

Also, you may delete your profile. Remember that once you delete your profile, you won't be able to get it back. You'll lose all the data and content in that account, like messages, record services, Booking history…

COMPLIANCE WITH A LEGAL OBLIGATION

Remarketing consists of creating personalized ad campaigns for those users who have already visited myMSC website services by previously consenting this purpose.
